Head of the Lakes Youth for Christ currently has many volunteer opportunities available. From urban ministry to campus ministry there is something for everyone. For more information on how you can get involved contact Amy@encounteryfc.com.

Current Volunteer positions for:

Campus Life

Seeking students who want to change lives on their high school campus. or help train and organize special youth events to better reach the youth in the Twin Ports. Many positions are available contact us for details

The Encounter

Gym
volunteers would be involved in sport activities ranging from basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, floor hockey, pool, ping-pong, fooseball and building relationships with guests-encouraging a welcoming atomosphere. The shifts activities can be planned by volunteer but is a go with the flow based on kids in the gym.
~Friday Evenings Open Session
1. 3:30pm-6:30pm (3hrs)
2. 6:30pm-9:30pm (3hrs) we close at nine but clean up stuff....

~Saturday Open Session
1. 11:30am-2:30pm (3hrs)
2. 2:30pm-5:30pm (3hrs)
3. 5:30pm-9:00pm (3 1/2hrs)

Front Desk
volunteers would be involved in greeting guests, directing guests towards their desired activities, answering phones, encouraging an inviting and welcoming atmosphere and building relationship with guests and other volunteers.

1. 5:30pm-9:00pm (3 1/2hrs)

~Thursday Evenings Skate Church
1. 4:00pm-8:00pm (4 hrs)

~Friday Evenings Open Session
1. 4:00-8:00pm (4 hrs)

~Saturday Open Session
1. Noon-3:00pm (3 hrs)
2. 3:00pm-6:00pm (3 hrs)
3. 6:00pm-9:00pm (3 hrs)

Red Room Venue
Volunteers would build relationships with bands, scene kids and staff through hanging out at shows, running sound, operating the coffee bar, security, front door check in, booking bands, m.c.ing shows and attending local shows at other venues.

1. 5:00-9:00pm (4 hrs)

~Saturday Open Session/Shows
1. Noon-3:00pm (3 hrs)
2. 3:00pm-6:00pm (3 hrs)
3. 6:00pm-9:00pm (3 hrs)
 

Encounter Coffee Bars

Volunteers would build relationships with kids in the Red Room/Skate Park area or the Gym area as they make up hot and cold drinks for the youth in attendance. The Coffee Bar is a unique opportunity to sit and build relationship with the kids that come to sit and have something to drink.

All positions are available Tuesday - Saturday
